                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 5800
                   BLOCK OF HIGHWAY 153, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST
                   LINE OF HIGHWAY 153 NORTHEAST OF GRUBB ROAD,
                   FROM R-4 SPECIAL ZONE TO C-2 CONVENIENCE
                   COMMERCIAL ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located in the 5800 block of
                Highway 153, being on the northwest line of Highway
                153 northeast of Grubb Road.  All that part of lot
                3, Subdivision of Jesse Evans Tract of part of Lot
                2 of the Houston-Hixson Property, as shown by plat
                of record in deed book 806, page 302, ROHC, which
                lies west of the northwest line of Highway 153,
                being the property described in deed book 4571,
                page 282, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 91P-A-2.1.
               
               
         from R-4 Special Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
              1.   Subject to a landscaped screen along Highway 153 and
                   abutting R-4 Zone.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         provided by law.
